O.K. I've read all of these posts about how bad WMRA has been this year, and only have one question. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HELP? I'm waiting.

I think the solution pretty basic...if you have a car..bring it out and race it.

Well All try this again. Well I don't think you are talking to myself vut if you are I have bought several cars to the track bought a membership tried to help other racers at and off the track promoted the WMRA. Is that enough? It's about what the group as a whole. Lets consentrate on the positive not the negitive. What one has done isn't the solution but how do we fix it. First look at the past don't forget it, but what is the future how do you see us in the future as the future is tomorrow. There is a rule that doesen't allow owners to vote on anything unless you race three races that rule only allyinates lots of members and you have to be a member after one race. it was brought up last year but it was shot down. Maybe you need to only race at a couple of tracks scale it down maybe travel is not an option for some. limit your tires to one a race or something to that. Race at tracks where you pick up local race cars. Limit your motors, These are a couple of ideals up for thought and comments. Thanks Keith Davidson#52 WMRA/PCMRA
and congrats to our Champion Ben Petter and his family Way to go Champ

Don't let this thread turn into what has your assoc. done to support ours. For me I'm not able to do out of town races because of my work schedule, I barely make it to Agassiz on time for practice. I run on a shoe string budget too. I'd love to race the small tracks with the WMRA and will have to wait and see what the race schedules will be like next year. This thread should be focusing on why so many cars where parked this year. I will never be in a position to race on a level playing field with the WMRA but hope the club will tailer their rules to make it more attractive for the teams with older machines and the PCMRA to want to bring their cars out.

Why should the club cater to you guys up north, if your not willing to come down to the states to race ? Scott

Steve, I guess the club will be soliciting ideas from members and people on the outside looking at coming in for this coming year. If there is in fact an opportunity to do as you suggest, tailer the rules to make those cars from up North more competative, where would you start? Weve tried this a couple of times with mixed results. It seems like in theory it could work, if it actually leads to increased car attendance across the entire schedule. Is this reasonible or possible? Would it help with a few races at Port Angeles? Obviously the questionaire is circulating and soon som general meetings will be starting this communication process. Can you attend or proxy or any of the other guys up there? Part of the reason a smaller HP car can compete is lack of grip for the big guys. There are so many ways to look at possibilities, at potential solutions. Its going as always take a step by step process and for compromise on all sides. Participation at this level is the key. NOTHING will happen with out it.

Steve, there already a rule that allows you and others to race with us. It's called the "Regional Division" as a mater of fact you are in 9th place as driver this year. What more can we do for you? We all have to make the tows to get to the next race, I don't like the price of fuel but it is what it is. If you want to really race you'll find the way.

I'm not really concerned with the WMRA making it easier for my car to compete, because I already know what the limitations of my car is and that is HP and the total amount of $$$$ invested in it. If my budget and work schedule are better for next year then you will see my car at the 1/4 mile venues. My concern is more to do with the long standing WMRA cars that are parked for some reason or another. I know where I fit in with the WMRA but I get a bigger kick out of gridding with a healthy bunch of pure blood Midgets.
