WMRA looks for a bumper crop of rookies in 2011. Right now we have 6 potential new drivers gearing up for the upcoming season. Lets take them in alphabetical order.
Brian Crutcher from Covington, WA will have the Dick Voss #45 Ultramotive Nissan as his ride for the year. Allen Dixon hopes to have the Autoresearch/Gaerte#43 (ex #92) car up and running the entire season with Tacoma's Bobby Dempsey at the wheel. Bobby planned to start last year, but surgery immediately before the first race sidelined him. Steve Hughes from North Bend, WA has purchased the Mike Gardner #32, renumbered it to 12, and plans to go for Rookie honors with his Beast/Fontana. Springfield, OR will see it's own Allison Journey run both the Pavement and Dirt series in 2011. She will be driving a 2005 Beast/Focus carrying the designation 4j. From Abbotsford, B.C. word is that Kris McKenzie will aim for the Rookie title driving the Globe Beast/Focus # 41. Glen Seidleman and Cole Tuppling, of Mansfield, WA will team up and campaign the #4 hawk/Gaerte with which Glen has competed ever since the car was brand new.
These drivers are welcomed by WMRA and we all wish them a great season and lots of success. It will be a competitive and exciting year with the new faces at the track.
Maybe there are more new drivers planning their first run with us, but as of now these are the only ones I've heard of. If you're new to midgets and planning the 2011 season with WMRA please get in touch, we'd like to know all abot you.
