The car was sold to a guy in Denver (Sam Roriguez) in 1954. It had a blown V8-60 at the time (after a fatal wreck- Pete Ducker in Phoenix). Ran Colorado and New Mexico mostly with RMMRA in 52-53. Number was 36 when sold and it was red and white (was also a blue #5, before that, but Lloyd Axle had "issues". Car was built by Ellis Evans in Denver as a curtis copy. Frame has a box-style from firewall to radiator, different from single tube on bottom like curtis. Body was a curtis and it had a large radiator and the curtis big nose grill. Handled well in dirt. Car was competitive against Offies under the right conditions. Drivers loved it on dirt. Had tube front axle, Eslbrock heads ans manifold, holly carb, Wyco mag. My Dad in Missouri knows it ended up in the NorthWest, but nothing else. The frame was unique for it's time. I can get a picture, but don't have one now. If you might have an idea where it ended up, call me . Thanks. Joe Kendrick (660) 596-1212 or email at joekend2003@yahhoo.com. Thank you. And, Thank you for a great banquet. See you guys at the track.
