Would this be a points race? The midgets from Agassiz have a race at home so do not think they could make it. Kris & I would try and make it but need to talk to the car owner. Larry M

I think this is a great opportunity to get back into one of the finest pavement facilities on the West Coast. I've talked with Marv Price who heads up the Vintage group and he says they are interested in making this event an annual all open wheel race like we used to have. I also talked with BCRA and they are interested in co-sanctioning it for 2013. I realize that the Focus cars at Agassiz have a race and our dirt division also has a race at Cottage Grove, but it would be a shame if we didn't take this opportunity. I'm sure Bob Farwell at Cottage Grove would re-schedule or cancel the race and maybe we could get the boys up north to consider rescheduling.

We were just down there with Mitchs new car practicing. Its a great track and one we miss. We met some people from their Board and mentioned we want to run there again. Now we get asked. Sure hope we go. But the challenge is how to do it in a way that all affected parties are pleased with. The Canadians are already committed to a date up north and we have a dirt race. So how many cars will be at this race... pts or no points? does that really matter? How many dirt cars will be at CG? While its great to have choices weve made a committment to CG and if this causes a car or two to leave that event, it seems to compromise the clubs integrity. Which is the right thing to do.? second, the canadians are running for points with us... which means atending every one of our points event. The cu]lub adding a point events compromises their goals as loyal members. Inspite of how attractive it is to go there, I dont think it is appropriate or wise, unless either its a non points race, essentially a 'special event'...... OR somehow other related schedules were to change. My 2 cents ........I hope we can go with the right type of car count to earn the respect necessary to be invited back next season as a headline event. Then the type of purse structure we have been striving for, is a given. Even a co-sanction with BCRA has been discussed. And just maybe........ Kraft & John Hunter would even drag his car out!!!!

Six dirt races is already weak enough. One or two rain out then what. Looks to me that he dirt part can't grow because of the limitations set by the asphalt schedule. Only a few will run both now and in the future. People are not going to buy dirt cars with a limited schedule. Even I question why go any further. Could get a Focus engine and race all summer. Maybe the dirt guys should start their own thing..LOL..again. GB
